Christian living is not about just going to church every Sunday or week days or just repeating some written prayers. It is not about reading the bible cover to cover. It is not about some traditional rituals come down the generations. But Christian living is about knowing God. Today the in the world we have a lot of distorted views of God being some power source to there being no God.
The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalms 19:1. When we study about the creation plants, animals , birds, fishes and human beings all have breath because their creator is a living being who has breath in Him.
Bible says “No one has seen God at any time…..I John 4:12 but Jesus also said,” God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24
Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: Eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: Noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: Feet have they, but they walk not: Neither speak they through their throat. Psalm 115:4-7 .The gods of this world are lifeless.
But the God of the Bible is ALIVE.
>And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:3 . HE HAS A MOUTH
>And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:5. HE HAS EYES
>The LORD hath heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.
Psalm 6:9 . HE HAS EARS
>And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7. HE HAS BREATH
>And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.Genesis 3:8 . HE HAS FEET
>Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Isaiah 59:1. HE HAS HANDS.
This God, when man sinned and died a spiritual death, prepared a plan for the redemption of mankind. And through His Son Jesus, He opened a way for man to enter heaven and dwell with Him for eternity.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:36
The ultimate goal of being a christian is salvation. What profit is gaining the whole world during your temporary stay on earth and losing your permanent residency of eternal dwelling with God to be with the devil in the eternal fire? God has designed the fire for the devil and his demons. They are not meant for us. But if we reject the WAY that God has opened for us, we will find ourselves in the same fire as the devil.
Christianity is all about believing in the bible as the only authentic word of God and confessing Jesus’s birth, death and resurrection for our sins and receiving the forgiveness of God that will justify us, sanctify us and glorify us along with His Son Jesus Christ.
Having attained salvation, enjoy the presence of His mighty being, His hands moving on our behalf, His divine provision and protection, His love and comfort, His power and sovereignty.
