Jesus is able to calm any storm

that comes our way.

And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:37-39

Life is full of uncertainties. When we become a Christian our life becomes more difficult because now all elements of hell come against us. Apostle Peter wrote, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” I Peter 5:8. That is why Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:11,14 encourages us saying “ Stand therefore” “ putting on the whole armor of God”. All that we have to do is to wear the armor and stand our ground. We don’t need to fight the battle because the battle belongs to God. Satan’s greatest enemy is God and hence is out to destroy all that God’s creation. Since we are God’s creation we need to understand we will have to face the ire of the devil. That is why God has given us armor for our protection and also the sword of the word for retaliation.

All that God expects from us is to be bold and courageous, stand firm grounded and rooted in our faith, hope and love.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

If indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard……………… Colossians 1:23

With Jesus in my boat we do not need to be afraid of any storm that comes our way. Just like there was a calm when Jesus rebuked the storm, we just need to relax in His presence and we will experience the calm.
